NOCK provides augmentative and alternate communication (AAC) devices
for kids with severe communication impairment caused by a chronic illness such as
cerebral palsy, autism, Down’s Syndrome, and other neurological diseases that disable
speech and communication. AAC devices, which can cost upwards of $10,000+, give the
gift of communication and self-expression to kids.
In addition, NOCK considers requests for robotic and wheelchair mounting
of the AAC device which enables a child to remain mobile while maintaining communication
abilities.
